Users with the Manage District Settings user permission can add, edit, and delete event types, such as athletics, clubs, and performing arts.
Once event types are created, events can be links to one or more event types. You can also require an event type be selected when submitting a request.
To add a new event type:

Select Admin > Manage Event Types. The Manage Event Types page appears.

Click Add Event Type. A pop-up appears.

Do any of the following:
Field Description Event Type Name Enter a unique name. Background Color Enter the desired hex code, or choose a color from the palette. Text Color Enter the desired hex code, or choose a color from the palette. Show Details Next to Show Details, select one of the following:
- Defer to look at the next item on the visibility ranking to either show or hide this event type on the public calendar.
- No to hide this event type on the public calendar.
- Yes to show this event type on the public calendar.
- Click Save.
To manage an existing event type:
- Select Admin > Manage Event Types.

Next to the event type you want, do one of the following:
To... Then... Edit an event type a. Click .
b. Make any desired changes.
c. Click Save.Delete an event type
Note: This is only available if the event type is not associated with any requests or events. a. Click . A confirmation message appears.
b. Click Yes.
