Users inside ML Schedules with the "Edit Request" permission can drag and drop events on the Calendar. The permission is constrained to the Sites listed under the permission on a user account.
Enabling the Permission
1. Select Users > Manage Users from the left-side navigation menu.
2. Select the pencil icon next to the user
3. Select the Roles tab at the top.
4. Select Add Role.
5. Select Edit Requests and the Site you want them to be able to edit requests at.
6. Click the checkmark to the right.
7. Click Save.
Utilizing The Feature (Month View)
You can drag and drop events from this view.
1. Select Calendar from the left-side navigation menu.
The Calendar will be displayed.
2. Click and Drag an event to another date.
3. Fill out the information in the Modal.
3A. Send Update E-mail to: This provides you the ability to choose who you want to notify of the change being made.
3B. Recalculate: This allows you to revert costs to the default costs you have set in the system.
3C. Restart Approval: If this is checked and it is an approved event, the approval process for this event will be restarted.
4. Click Save.
The event will now be moved.
Utilizing The Feature (Week View)
You can extend the times of an event from this view as well as drag and drop events.
1. Select Calendar from the left-side navigation menu.
The Calendar will be displayed.
2. Click the Week tab at the top right.
3. Drag and Drop an event (Follow the process above)
Note: Using the week view will only allow you to drag and drop the event in the same week allowing you to change the start and end time and the date of the event. In addition to this, you can drag the event to increase the end time. If you need to change the date of the event to a different date in the month, you will need to use the month view.
3A. Drag the event to extend the time
4. Fill out the information in the Modal.
4A. Send Update E-mail to: This provides you the ability to choose who you want to notify of the change being made.
4B. Recalculate: This allows you to revert costs to the default costs you have set in the system.
4C. Restart Approval: If this is checked and it is an approved event, the approval process for this event will be restarted.
4. Click Save.
You can see the event on the right has been dragged to increase the end time to 4:00 PM.
Utilizing The Feature (Day View)
You can extend the times of an event from this view as well as drag and drop events on the same day for different start times.
1. Select Calendar from the left-side navigation menu.
The Calendar will be displayed.
2. Click the Day tab at the top right.
3. Drag and Drop an event (Follow the process above)
Note: Using the day view will only allow you to drag and drop the event on the same date allowing you to change the start and end time. In addition to this, you can drag the event to increase the end time. If you need to change the date of the event you will need to use the month or week view.
