The Mass Cancel feature allows users with the "Mass Cancel Permission" to Cancel events on a designated date or date range. This feature is useful for weather-related issues and other emergency situations.
1. Select Requests > Mass Cancel Events on the Left-side toolbar.
The Mass Cancel Events screen will be displayed.
Note: The page will default to the current date showing all approved, pending or on-hold events scheduled. You can adjust the date or select an entire date range if needed. Select the View Events button after changing the date(s).
2. Select the checkbox next to the events that you would like to cancel. Selecting the topmost checkbox will select all of the events.
Note: If you would like to filter the Site or Space you will want to take the additional steps in the appropriate section below labeled:
- Adjusting the Mass Cancel Site
- Adjusting the Mass Cancel Space
3. Enter the appropriate text in the Cancel Reason field.
NOTE: The text entered here will be sent in the emails that will automatically be sent to all affected Group Managers and Additionally Notified Users. If the event was approved, and then canceled from this page notifications will go to the following people:
- Additionally notify users on the Space
- Additionally notify users on the Request
- Additionally notify users on the Fields
- The Requestor
- The user who canceled the request
- All group contacts
- All group managers that are set to receive emails for "All Requests"
If you do not want to send an email, ensure "Send Email" is unchecked.
4. Select the Cancel Events button to Cancel all events.
Adjusting the Mass Cancel Site
1. Select the 3 vertical dots on the Site column.
2. Check the box next to the Site you would like to filter on.
3. Select the Filter button.
4. Refer back to Step 3 above and continue the cancellation process.
Adjusting the Mass Cancel Space
1. Select the 3 vertical dots on the Space column.
2. Check the box next to the Space you would like to filter on.
3. Select the Filter button.
4. Refer back to Step 3 above and continue the cancellation process.
Note: Emails will only be sent if an event has been Approved.
